Found this on OIW.com's forum. It was posted by Gordo - stop by his site as well - owie.ca - I think PWX personnel and fans will completely appreciate Gordo's kind words.
The conversation was based around the state of pro wrestling's big 3 - WWE, TNA and ROH, etc.
Enjoy.

I look at the modern landscape of pro wrestling and I see a mixed bag of styles and presentation (often on the same show.) It's become impossible to state conclusively (or point directly at one promotion and say) THIS is what pro wrestling IS. Kayfabe has shattered and wrestling has fragmented into shards... some of which are so different from the rest that it's almost impossible to believe they came from the same original vessal.
In many cases relative comparisons of 'worth' or 'rightness' are impossible because the product and/or promotions truly are like apples and oranges. ("flippity flop" and tradition based psychology rich wrestling for example) One can argue forever over which is better... apples or oranges but they're both fruit and so it is with the two examples I bracketed above... like it or not, they're both pro wrestling. It is a matter of choice as to what particular style appeals and, of the promotions who deliver that style... which is the best at it.
When it comes to Ontario in particular there's little argument over what promotion is the most successful... UWA Hardcore. As much as that may stick in the craw of some people... it is the truth. If other promotions want to change that, they'll have to agressively market their products and become more successful.
UWA Hardcore supplies the flippity flop. Obviously, they've tapped into a 'want' for that style even if, as many point out, they may not be delivering the best examples of what that style can provide. Personally, flippity flop is NOT my favorite style of wrestling.
And UWA Hardcore is NOT my favorite Ontario Indy promotion.
I'm more a fan of psychology based old school wrestling and thankfully, there are a couple promotions here in Ontario who do very well at providing that on a consistant basis.
So for the record... MY favorite promotions are: PWX & BSE
They have delivered more 'magic moments' than any other Ontario promotions I've seen (which by last count, was nearing 50) What I, as a fan, want to see is... PWX and BSE become the most well known and successful companies in Canada because they are the two promotions (who provide the 'style' that I love) that are most in a position to do so. I think that product-wise they are the BEST.
But what I think doesn't change the fact that right now, UWA Hardcore and it's presentation of flippity flop, is the most successful pro wrestling company in Canada.
I don't like 90% of the WWE's product; I find it totally without merit and instumental in the creation and fostering of much of what ails pro wrestling today. They are nowhere near my favorite fed nor do they produce anything I would say makes them worthy of being called the BEST pro wrestling company in the world.
But again... what I think doesn't change the fact that WWE and its presentation of "sports entertainment" IS the most successful pro wrestling company in the world.
Personally, I'm of the opinion that if one were to take the WWE product (but leave the production values) and replace it with either BSE or PWX's current rosters, storylines & creative heads, ratings would skyrocket to numbers not seen since the days of Savage vs Steamboat inside of 4 months. I think BSE and PWX are THAT good.
Here's hoping BSE and PWX reach a level of success that matches what I believe to be is the superiority of their product.
Edit: I should mention that I find it very encouraging that both BSE and PWX have shown marked growth over the last two years and both show no signs of reversing that trend anytime soon. So... there IS hope.
